What to Expect
A warm welcome
We’ll greet you like family! We believe that all are welcome, all the time. Kibbie is a small and warm community that enjoys meeting new people.
Our worship services run around an hour and use a mix of songs and prayers. We love to sing, and we love to be challenged by inspiring, biblical preaching.
We believe that we are called to grow outside of our Sunday morning worship services. So we offer a mid-week Bible study, Sunday morning Bible study, and programming for children.
- What should I wear?
- How long are services?
- Is Kibbie affiliated with a denomination?
- Who can help me answer my questions?
In short, whatever you feel comfortable wearing!
There is no dress code at Kibbie Church. Most people dress casually. Jeans, slacks, T-shirts, polos, and dress shirts are all common at Kibbie. But wear what you feel most comfortable wearing!
Our worship services typically last around an hour.
Our services typically begin with the lighting of the Christ candle, a sign of the Risen Lord’s presence among us. We then sing songs—from traditional hymns to praise choruses to newer songs—and pray together. We hear from God’s Word through the reading of Scripture and a sermon, and then we respond to God before we are sent into the world.
Kibbie is a church of the Christian Reformed Church in North America.
Reformed Christians are a small part of a much larger body of believers who love and serve Jesus Christ. We’re part of a family that includes Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Anglican, Evangelical, and a host of other churches that confess and practice the Christian faith.
