Children’s Message November 6th, 2022

Our story today takes place in the desert box. So many important things happen in the desert that we just have to have a small piece of it in our room.
The desert is a strange and wild place. At night it is very cold, but in the day it is burning hot. There is almost no water at all……The desert is always changing. The wind comes. And as it blows it shapes and molds. So the desert is never the same.
The people of God were living in Egypt….. the new king Pharaoh made them slaves. The people cried out their prayers to God. God answered and chose Moses to talk to Pharaoh.
I wonder how it feels if the only way to get food is to be a slave?………..
I wonder if you have ever been near a place like this, trapped, and someone freed you?…….
I wonder how it felt when God led them through the water to freedom?…….
Now that the people of God are free, I wonder which way they will go?…..
I wonder how they will know the way?……..
