This is the season of Epiphany. (Sixth Sunday) Epiphany means to see ordinary things in a new way, looking at things the way God sees the world. Feeling God’s presence in something ordinary.
The story today is a parable. The parable of The Sower. Parables are very precious, like gold and in a gold box.
Once there was someone who said such amazing things, and did such wonderful things, that people began to follow him. One day he told them this parable. A sower went out to sow. Some seeds fell on the path. The birds came and ate them. Some seeds fell on the rocks. The seeds could not put their roots down and died. Some seeds fell among thorns. When the seeds put down roots, the thorns choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil….. and when these little seeds put down roots, they grew, and they grew, and they grew.
I wonder how the seeds felt that fell on the path?…….. I wonder how the birds felt?……. I wonder what is the most important part of the story?…..
