Children’s Worship May 14th, 2023

This is the season of Easter, when we celebrate the mystery that Jesus died and that God made him alive again.
Today we will hear about another mystery…. Ascension Day. The mystery that Jesus went away so he could be with us always in every place and ….. every time.
Jesus is alive . One day he said to his friends, “Stay in Jerusalem. God will send you a special gift…… the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will give you power…. power to tell everyone about me and the Kingdom of God .
I am going away. You will not see me anymore. But I will be with you always…….. in every place and every time….. And I will come again. Then Jesus disappeared into a cloud.
I wonder how Jesus’ friends felt when Jesus went away?……….
I wonder if they kept looking for Jesus?………
I wonder how they knew Jesus was still with them?………
I wonder if they talked about the special gift, the gift of the Holy Spirit, that Jesus said they would receive?………
I wonder what they will do with that gift?……
